Fall GabFest '98, the third meeting of WNC EastEnders Fans, was held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, November 7, 1998 at Garfield's in South Asheville. Attendance was up and included Jennifer Allen, Bill Ammons, Anne Jones, Patti Lambert, Judy Purdee and her granddaughter, Amber, and Vikki Whiston. Both Patti and Vikki, sisters, discovered our group through postings in Judy Hirsch's EastEnders newsletter.

This gathering featured wonderful conversation, good food, and the sharing of EastEnders-related reading materials. Also, Anne Jones brought her Queen Victoria storage jar to show the group. (It appears prominently in one of the photos.)

A bakery cake, featuring the river Thames and EastEnders logo, was provided for dessert.

Fall GabFest '99 lasted approximately two hours. Before leaving, each participant received an EastEnders iron-on patch.
