Greetings, NC EastEnders Fans!

I hope you’ll consider volunteering for our upcoming EastEnders night at Festival. It will be a fun evening! I’m pleased to announce that for the fifth year in a row our club will be a UNC-TV Community Pledge Partner. This is a special contribution level of $1,500 that entitles us to the following privileges:

* A night during Festival devoted to raising funds for EastEnders
* On-air check presentation and interview
* Signage in the UNC-TV studio lobby and front lobby recognizing our group
* Refreshments for our Festival volunteers
* Recognition in the monthly magazine Centerpiece
* Listing on the UNC-TV Web site

I was thrilled to learn that the North Carolina EastEnders Fan Club is returning for another year as a FESTIVAL Community Pledge Partner. Your extraordinarily loyal support for EastEnders continues to encourage and motivate all of us at UNC-TV.

One of the fundamental concepts on which public television is built is that people will find a way to support the things they believe in. It may be with their dollars, or it may be with their time. I am honored to see this every day, but it is especially evident during FESTIVAL. It is so inspiring to watch thousands of viewers pledge their dollars and thousands of volunteers donate their time—all to benefit UNC-TV. One way this all comes together is with Pledge Partners like the North Carolina Eastenders Fan Club, who provide both a financial gift and an incredibly enthusiastic volunteer force to answer the phones.

I so appreciate your friendship and belief in member-supported public television. We look forward to hosting your team in the studio for FESTIVAL 2010 and to continuing our partnership for years to come.
